Wedding Wednesday came early this week! I couldn’t wait until later this week to share my bridal brunch that my future in laws put on for me. I had such a fun day surrounded by loved ones. I’m sharing mostly food and decor photos only because i’m sure not all my guests want their photos online 🙂
When we first started chatting about my bridal shower, I knew that a brunch would be right up my ally. I’m a sweets lover and could eat breakfast for all three meals every day. My favorite local cafe, Pressed, catered the event. We had freshly baked goodies like cinnamon buns, muffins, scones, fruit croissants, chocolate croissants and lots of different types of breakfast sandwiches with freshly made bagels. We had an awesome coffee bar, fruit infused spa water, strawberry salads, fig and goat cheese salad and lots more. Since Sergio’s parents live in Kansas, and we are in Boston where the shower took place, he helped coordinate a bit for them which included making some additional food items like the fruit salad, ring topped donuts and mini pancakes with blueberry skewers, greek yogurt deviled eggs and a yogurt parfait bar. We had a fun mimosa bar too with pineapple, orange and grapefruit juice that was a huge hit! We didn’t get a great picture of the setup, but I’m just glad everyone enjoyed it so much!
Once everyone arrived, we all mingled and sipped on some mimosas. We kicked off with a game my maid of honor made which was “Bride, Groom or Both”. Everyone answered questions about Sergio and I like “Who is makes the bed?”, “Who is more organized?”, etc. Whoever had the most answered correct, won! We then moved to a hilarious game of Who Has the Groom? It went past super quick, but was worth all the giggles. The game consisted of everyone receiving an envelope and whoever opened it and has Sergio, wins! There was a lot of famous men like Channing Tatum and Snoop Dog, plus all S’ groomsmen and even Muenster!! S put this game together and cut out all the tuxedos and faces.
After the games concluded and the winner picked their prizes, we all enjoyed a slice of cake while I opened gifts. The pink cake with the rose pipped frosting was SO cute and tasted amazing! The buttercream was phenomenal and within inside, there was a raspberry filling that I couldn’t stop eating haha. We had half left over after which was dangerous haha.
I was so happy to have my dad at the shower! He had such a fun time chatting with my bridesmaids and playing along with the game haha. S’ best man [and one of my best friends] Hayden also came to the shower. He helped me open my gifts. It was so funny because S was up taking photos while I was sitting between him and my bridesmaid, Taryn, who is his girlfriend. They were both great helpers! Many of S’ sweet aunts and cousins attended and it was so nice catching up with them.
For favors, there were little handmade lavender soaps labeled with “From Mindy’s Shower to Yours June 24, 2017”. Seriously- how freaking cute?! They were a huge hit!
I cannot get over how cute the whole bridal brunch was. Sergio really nailed it with his parents. I had the best day ever and cannot wait for our wedding day! S is my best friend and such a thoughtful person. He did so much of the execution and made it [in our guests words] “very Mindy!” haha. I love him so much!
