layering gold necklace trend
Hi Friends! I hope you’re having a great week so far.

Yesterday I took the day off and drove to Maine for my bridal hair and make up trial! Oh my gosh, I had so much fun. S and I haven’t really stressed through aspects of wedding planning [yet :-P], but for some reason I was so anxious about all things beauty. So much so that I have a #WeddingWednesday already drafted to help you out if you’re a bride-to-be. We hired an awesome salon, but I’m so particular on my hair and make up, that I was stressing myself out! While I felt guilty spend that much money on my hair and make up, just to wash it off four hours later, the piece of mind it gave me was worth it.

On another note, I have a lot of great content shot for this week, but since I was knocked out most the weekend with a sinus infection, I haven’t been able to edit the photos. I’ve been trying to be less stringent on myself on deadlines [since wedding planning is a whole other job on top of my 9-5 ] while still maintaining it as a business. Sometimes you need to sleep off a sickness to get better instead of staying up until midnight editing photos, ya know? With that said, I wanted to pop in for a quick post to say HI! and round up a trend I’ve been loving lately – dainty gold layering necklaces.

S gifted me this gorgeous necklace with these matching earrings for nine year our anniversary which kicked off my ‘dainty gold necklace’ obsession. Side note – how cute is it that he picked them out all by himself?! I have a few bracelete by this brand that I wear almost everyday, but he must have read the blog to find where they were from because I don’t ever recall telling him about Julie Vos!

One of the reasons I love this fun trend is because you can layer on lots of sentimental, designer necklaces – like an anniversary gift or one with your last names initial. From there, you can get even more fun and flirty by layering on some fun budget-friendly ones like this choker,  this initial charm or this GORG y-chain. The more, the merrier with this trend!

Here are a few of my current favorites. Most all are under $40!

Which are your favorites?! Xo Mindy
