Spring means festival season! One of my favorite music festivals is Boston Calling which takes place in May. I was so excited for this years festival since my all time favorite band, Mumford and Sons, is performing. I was quickly reminded that it’s the same weekend as my bachelorette party, so while I won’t be attending this year I’ll be having just as much, if not more fun spending time with my girls!
One of the best parts of festivals is planning out what you need for the big event. While they may come off as easy breezy, I’m definitely a planner and like to make sure my bag is jam packed with essentials so that my group of friends is ready for anything that may come up. Today I’m partnering with Babbleboxx to provide you with a must-have list for your next must festival.
A mini first aid kit should be in everyone’s bag! I like to make my own with items I had in my medicine cabinet and my toiletry bag. I suggest to toss in band aids, Advil, allergy medicine, chewable antacids, alcohol wipes and eye drops. Nothing is worse than being stuck in the beaming hot sun with a head ache or upset stomach so having these medications on hand is so helpful when you’re in a pinch! Also, the Clear Eyes Pure Relief® Multi-Symptom drops are a game changer for long summer days and dusty festival fields because it quickly relieves red, irritated eyes.
Now that medical emergency’s are covered, stocking a girly kit is needed. Grab anything from a comb, hair ties, head band, mini perfume, deodorant, oil blotting wipes, SPF and coconut oil. Coconut oil? You heard right! If you’ve followed A Mxi of Min for awhile, you know that I love using coconut oil for moisturizing my hair and body. Having Renpure: Black Label 100% Organic Coconut Oil on hand allows you to keep one product in your bag with multiple uses instead of lugging around your lotion, chapstick and hair oils all separately.
If you’re an ultra planner like me you’ll be doing some other girly things before the actual festival date too, like waxing any unwanted body hair. I like to use the Nad’s Ultra Smoothing Exfoliating Wax Strips because the pomegranate and grapefruit extracts make the strips very gentle on sensitive skin. They also perform at a salon quality grade by removing the hair straight from the root.
Check beforehand on whether your music festival allows outside food. If they do, stock that purse up! To satisfy a sweet craving quickly, pick up these Sour Punch® Straws Pineapple Mango Chili. The flavor is addicting because right after you enjoy the sweetness, you’re hit with a bit of heat which is so good! Another great snack to have on hand is water of course. Bottled water can be so expensive at events, so I always try to stuff a can of La Croix in my purse. If you read this post you already know I’m La Croix obsessed and the Cúrate Muré Pepino happens to be one of my favorite flavors due to the blackberry and cucumber flavor. Yum, yum, yum.
Anytime I’ll be having a late night, I like to lay out my comfy lounge clothes so I don’t have to think much the next morning. This cutesy tank and mesh-detailed bralette form PJ Salvage fit the bill. The materials are so soft and luxurious, while the design makes them super cute and acceptable to run a few errands in too. Can anyone say post-festival pizza run?
I hope this helps you when prepping for any fun festivals you have this spring and summer! Xoxo Mindy
